SalaryMy client, a leading Property Firm is looking for a Assistant Accountant to join their expanding team. The company has recently acquired a number of new Contracts that will increase the revenue for the group function.
As a Assistant Accountant will be responsible for delivering for a high portfolio reporting directly into the Finance Controller. Other duties will consist of.
- Partnering with Project Managers and various other non-finance teams, being the finance interface.
- Processing supplier invoices - ensuring accurate entry in Xero and filed, tagging supplier invoices that are project related, and being able to identify if any are intercompany or personal in nature.
- Posting company credit card transactions, chasing for missing receipts, and monthly reconciliation of company credit card transactions.
- Review and posting of staff expenditure claims.
- Petty cash reconciliation and posting.
- Assist in the preparation of rechargeable project-related travel expenses to be invoiced to clients.
- Reconciling supplier statements ensuring missing invoices are requested and queries resolved.
- Fortnightly payment run - Assist in preparing both local and international payments in Natwest business banking and posting payments in Xero.
- Proven work experience in Finance
- Great team player who can manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong Excel Skills
- Experience in a high-volume transactional business
