SalaryDue to our ever-continuing growth and demand for our products, we are looking for an Assistant Buyer in our Health and Beauty department.
This is a full-time and permanent, office-based position in our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool L24.
As an Assistant Buyer you will play a key role in providing effective & efficient support in our Buying department. To be successful, it is essential that you can work at pace, have excellent administration skills and an eye for detail.
This is an ideal role for someone in a Buying Assistant position looking to step up to the next level and take ownership of team admin with scope for additional buying responsibilities and a great opportunity to get more involved with product, comp shops, range building etc.
The key responsibilities of the role are:
- Managing Critical Path – chasing samples and relevant paperwork, approval of pre-shipment images and Processing shipping documents with accuracy
- Managing Product Set up and Order Placing - creating codes, updating product information, communicating to suppliers and Merch team.
- Liaising with Far East suppliers
- Photography and artworks – arranging samples pick up/ drop off with studio
- Regular price Comparisons and benchmarking
- Follow up from Supplier meetings and Range Reviews
- Briefing Design teams – Create brief with buyers for own label products
- Liaise with testing house on Own label products to ensure all relevant data collected and compliance in place
- Managing Internet – Manage Buyers Admin to ensure lines uploaded on internet
- Liaise with Marketing and social media to provide samples and relevant info to highlight H&B Product
- General data input
- Housekeeping, organising files, working in sample room on products etc
Experience/Skills Required:
- Currently in a Buying Assistant or Assistant Buyer role looking for additional responsibilities and development.
- Eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
- Strong Excel experience is essential Computer literacy to include working knowledge of Microsoft systems, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong numerical skills and ability to analyse data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
