Assistant Chef
Location: London, W6 0AE
Salary: £16.58 per hour
Hours: 18 hours per week, 2 x 7am – 4pm shifts between Monday and Sunday (Working days flexible)
As Assistant Chef, you will support the Catering Manager in providing a comprehensive and professional service for the Centre, deputising for the Catering Manager in their absence.
As part of the Catering Team, your role will include a variety of tasks to help produce top class food and ensure a high-quality dining experience for the residents.
Previous experience in managing and running a kitchen is essential.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure special dietary needs and preferences of our residents are met.
- Be responsible for the smooth running of the Catering Department.
- Ensure proper standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safe storage of kitchen equipment are adhered to at all times.
- Oversee ordering and delivery of provisions, as authorised by the Catering Manager.
- Maintain good relations with residents and visitors, maintaining the good name of the Centre at all times.
Skills and Qualifications
- City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent.
- Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent (Desirable)
- Knowledge of current Hygiene Legislation.
