Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. As an Assistant Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation and production
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance as needed
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and recipes
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as necessary
- Monitor food quality and presentation
- Assist with training new kitchen staff members
- Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef
Experience:
- Previous experience in a culinary role, preferably as a Sous Chef or Line Cook
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Excellent culinary skills with a focus on quality and presentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and inspire a team
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and equipment
- Hospitality mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences
Skills:
- Food safety knowledge and certification
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise kitchen staff effectively
