VANRATH are partnered with a recognisable employer in Belfast city centre, who operate within a specialist industry sector. This is an opportunity for an Assistant Director of Finance to join a business currently going through transition, with the potential to secure a longer-term contract.
The Assistant Director of Finance will oversee a team of Finance Business Partners, reviewing & analysing month end figures, producing recommendations for improvements, and reporting to senior management. This is the ideal role for a senior finance professional with effective communication skills, and an ability to influence non-finance colleagues.
This is an initial 6-month contract, with the opportunity for an immediate start. If you are available on a shortened notice period, this could be the perfect opportunity to take on your next assignment.
About you
- Qualified Accountant with 5+ years PQE
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence others
- Proven experience of presenting financial information
What you’ll do
- Guide and build a high-performing finance team
- Lead the development of the Financial Planning & Performance team
- Oversee budget and forecasting initiatives
- Manage group financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities
- Oversee financial reporting
