Assistant Finance Analyst

As an Assistant Finance Analyst you’ll play a key role in helping the Brewing and Brands department in Greene King deliver its financials through partnering with business stakeholders to interpret and analyse financial performance, as well as using influencing skills to provide recommendations on how to drive more value.

Your role as Assistant Finance Analyst...

• Build great business partnering relationships with the Marketing team, acting as a trusted adviser who can both challenge and support.
• End-to-end oversight of the Marketing Budget
  • Period End: managing the position and telling the story versus the relevant comparator, feeding into the Exec Performance Pack.
  • Budget/Forecasting: engaging with the business to capture their detailed Marketing Plans and subsequently producing outputs and analysis, supported by the Finance Business Partner, and ultimately shared with Exec members.
  • Risks & Opportunities: prepare and manage the Risks and Opportunities schedule for the business area, ensuring the numbers are clearly understood.
  • Reviews: holding regular review sessions with business partners to ensure they are informed and aware of the position versus budget.
• Delivering best in class analysis, reporting and insight such as Brand Performance and Return On Investment (ROI) overviews
• Being an advocate of driving continuous improvement through finding efficiencies and improving clarity to existing processes, challenging non-value add where relevant.
• Assist Finance Business Partner and Head of Commercial Finance as required with ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications...

• You will either be studying or looking to commence your journey towards a relevant professional accounting qualification, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills (Microsoft Excel) with experience of preparing analysis and delivering insight.
• Able to meet deadlines, prioritise workload and deliver high quality financial information.
• Knowledge of hospitality industry is an advantage.
