You will be joining a front-line service serving and protecting the communities of East Sussex and Brighton & Hove. They are currently going through an exciting system transformation, and work to a very flexible hybrid pattern for your 12 month Fixed Term Contract.Your new role
You will work as part of a proactive, customer focussed Finance Business Partnering structure to deliver high level financial insights. Working alongside other members of the finance team and key stakeholders, you will produce management accounts, taking a key role in supporting the finance manager and Finance Business Partners in evidence based strategic financial decision making. This will involve providing support on grants, undertaking financial analysis to inform forecasts and budgets, updating insurance claims and risk registers, preparing external audit working papers and developing financial business cases.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be AAT qualified, ACCA or CIMA part qualified or equivalent. You will bring experience as a Management Accountant or Finance Business Partner in the public sector. You will strong Excel skills - VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables and SUMIFs, and excellent communication skills. Experience on SAP or Oracle is desirable but not essential.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of £36,000 - £40,000 DOE. This is a 12 month maternity cover, with benefits including 267 days holiday + Bank Holidays, an excellent pension contribution and cycle to work scheme. You will only need to be at the office 1 day per week, and there is free parking.
