Assistant Financial Controller

Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and collaborative Assistant Financial Controller to join an inclusive and successful team in Burton upon Trent. The full-time role offers a salary in the range of £55,000 to £65,000.

As a Assistant Financial Controller, you will manage and coordinate the activities of the Finance team, ensuring all financial deliverables are achieved within stipulated time lines. You will also ensure that all activities are clearly defined and ensure contingency plans are in place. In addition, you'll develop, support and motivate the team to work in a cohesive environment.

In your first few weeks in this Assistant Financial Controller role, you can expect to work in these areas:

• Producing and presenting Month End Reporting packs for multiple business units (JIT Production, European Service Parts & Drop Shipment)
• Reporting all key financial data to Plant Management, Business Unit Management and Operations groups
• Weekly engagement with Operational teams to support Continual Cost Management, ensuring production updates are monitored and suitable mitigation actions are taken for significant changes
• Preparing and loading financial information for the Annual Planning cycle.

To apply for this Assistant Financial Controller role, you will need to be CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified. You will also require the following:

• Knowledge and experience of SAP & Hyperion (HFM / XL load & retrieve)
• Experience managing a small team (desirable)
• IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft packages and systems and processes associated with this role.
