Assistant Hr Advisor

Reed Secure are working with Police Forces who are looking to recruit Assistant HR Advisor.

To support the HR team to deliver a specific customer focused HR service.
• Hourly rate - £14.40 PAYE
• Location – near Fareham

• Hours – 37h a week (Monday to Friday)
• Hybrid ( 1 day at home and 4 days in the office )
• Length of Assignment – up to 6 Months
• Important Skills or Experience: - At least one years experience of working in a customer focused HR environment providing information and general advice.

Key Responsibilities:

1. To co-ordinate short listing interview and the selection process in line with force policy and procedures. This may include managing bulk recruitment processes and ensuring all recruitment documentation is accurate and up to date, dealing with more complex recruitment queries from candidates or colleagues.
2. To act as an assessor in recruitment and selection processes.
3. To provide a range of services of research, information gathering and organisation, ensuring HR process guidance and the HR intranet is maintained and kept up to date. To provide ad hoc project support.
4. To be the first point of contact to provide general advice on HR policy, procedure and guidance, including terms and conditions of service to managers and staff, providing advice and support to managers on lower level casework.
5. To administer the establishment details of organisation, ensuring establishment levels, structure and HR system details are accurate and up to date.
6. To be the HR representative at meetings within ACRO when needed and formal meetings where there is a procedural requirement.
7. To be aware of Force policies on Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety and Data protection and comply with the legislation and the standards of Hampshire policing, ‘good practice’ and ‘best practice.’
8. To provide HR statistics on a monthly and quarterly basis and provide information on a range of HR issues when required.

Qualifications:

Essential: Educated to QCF Level 2 (5 passes) OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.
Desirable: CIPD Diploma Level 5 in HR Practice or higher CIPD qualification.
