Description of Post The Faculty of Engineering & Technology has a varied portfolio of industry and professional practice focused programmes. The Department of Computing within the Faculty of Engineering and Technology seeks applications in the following area: Cyberpsychology Delivery will normally be on campus and, as a condition of employment, successful candidates will be expected to be available to teach on campus. The post may include elements of project-based and blended learning, with online learning by agreement. The lecturer will join an enthusiastic team engaging in collaborative learning on other shared modules across the range of disciplines. Pedagogic staff development is encouraged and cognate qualification progression is also supported. Appointment(s) may be on a permanent/fixed term/pro-rata/part-time basis as required at Assistant Lecturer level. A panel will be created for any vacancies that may arise in the future. Please note: The postholder will be based at the ATU Donegal, Letterkenny Campus. Essential Qualifications Minimum An Honours Degree (2.2 or higher) in a relevant Level 8 degree [as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)], or equivalent majoring in Computing or a related discipline. Three years relevant post-qualification experience i.e., 3 years relevant experience having gained the qualifications above. Desirable A postgraduate qualification preferably at PhD level Significant industry and/or research experience in the area of Cyberpsychology Third level teaching experience (online and face to face) Research experience Experience in programme development and implementation Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. Flexible and adaptable Ability to teach effectively Good communication skills, organisational skills and interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team
