FMCG organisation in Herefordshire.
Purpose of the Role
My client are looking for a highly competent and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join their Finance Team, based in Hereford.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Lead the preparation and completion of weekly financial results.
- To Support in preparation of the period end close
- Operational Monthly packs reporting financial and operational results explaining variances to budget and forecast.
- Work with the Managers to understand cost base trends and realistic target objectives.
- Support the teams in ensuring good financial control is maintained over stocks, aligning all sites weekly stock variance reporting.
- To not just produce numbers but offer support/guidance in ways to improve performance.
- Oversee the collation of Financial KPIS
- Work closely with the Administration Manager to ensure timely weekly close offs of transactions.
Personal profile
- AAT Qualified (or equivalent) or Part Qualified Studier CIMA/ACCA.
- Solid Management Accounting Knowledge.
- Comfortable working with multiple IT systems.
- Good excel skills including Vlookups, pivot tables and data analysis.
- Proactive in organising personal workload.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable communicating with people at all levels within the business.
- Be flexible and approachable.
