A returning client of ours in the freight industry is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant for a 12 months maternity cover contract. As Assistant Accountant you will be supporting the Accounts Manager with analysis and reporting: -
Key responsibilities include:
• Credit control duties and producing aged debtor reports• Supplier accounts reconciliations• Bank payments and posting bank receipts• Bank reconciliations• Preparation of monthly management reports including P&L• HMRC - CDS reconciliations• Profit Share analysis as required• Intercompany reconciliation• Month end checks and ad hoc reports and analysis• Supporting the Accounts Manager with analysis and reporting
Key experience required
• AAT/ ACCA / CIMA Part Qualified or similar accounting degree• Proficient with MS Systems including Excel (V Look-up & Pivot Table)• Accounting experience is required• Experience with Sage Line 50 is an advantage• Experience with Boxtop is an advantage• Strong personality and can handle month-end deadlines
