SalaryA Sunderland based business are looking to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant to work as part of their finance team on either a full or part-time hours basis taking responsibility of the following tasks:
- Preparation of quarterly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Production of quarterly VAT returns
- Monthly bookkeeping to trial balance stage.
- Invoice processing and month end tidy up.
- Accruals & Prepayments
- CIS vouchers.
The above duties will be carried out for a number of different small to medium size businesses and as such provides the successful applicant with a varied and interesting position. The role will require you liaising with a number of different business owners as well as internal colleagues and HMRC, requiring the applicant to demonstrate their first class customer service and communication skills.
You will be using a number of different accountancy software packages including Sage, Quickbooks and Xero, experience of at least one of these would be desirable.
Applications are welcome from experienced Bookkeepers, Assistant Management Accountants and AAT Level 3/4 accounting professionals who have proven experience in the above tasks in UK accounting.
With Making Tax Digital still in the diary for implementation by the government in the future, this is a task that the post holder could take ownership for in time.

The position is predominantly office based however their is flexibility with current staff working different hours and some hybrid.
