SalaryWe are currently seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join a thriving business located in Redcar for a 12-month maternity cover, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.
As a crucial member of the expanding finance team, you will report directly to the Finance Director, providing support in the preparation of management accounts.
This position is office-based in Redcar and is a full-time. However, they are open to considering a 4-day work week.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Assist in the month-end process, creating and posting journals (e.g., RFL, R&M, Fuel, etc.).
- Produce monthly Management Accounts for a small group company.
- Assist in producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Fixed Asset recording, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations.
- Weekly P&L Management reporting, along with KPIs on headcounts, sales against budget, etc.
- Weekly tracking reporting as well as maintaining the tracking system.
- Provide backup and support to payroll to cover holidays and busy periods and support with tax year-end.
- Support with the preparation of year-end accounts and liaising with auditors.
- Monthly ONS (Office for National Statistics) returns.
- Assist the accountants department where required.
Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Experience in a similar role is an advantage.
- Preferably part CIMA qualified.
- Strong process analysis and documentation skills
