We are looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to provide maternity leave cover to help the team to provide comprehensive group accounting corporate Financial Reporting service across L&Q and its subsidiaries.
Reporting to the Group Financial Reporting Manager, you will work within the Group Reporting function who are a small, close knit team servicing the whole finance team, the wider business and external and internal auditors.
Main duties include:
- Take a lead role in co-ordinating all stages of the annual audit, liasing with a large team of external auditors, being their key point of contact.
- Assist in managing the production of monthly, quarterly and other ad hoc Financial Reporting requirements for the Group.
- Assist in managing the production of the annual statutory accounts for the group.
- Perform/review monthly reconciliations of the underlying record on control accounts, intercompany and other Group balances.
The successful candidate will have;
- Experience in finance including managing year-end audit process and business partnering of multiple entities – essential.
- Practical knowledge / experience in group consolidation and financial accounting under FRS102 – essential.
- Organisational skills including being able to plan/organise work against a published timetable – essential.
- Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with multiple stakeholders at any one time, managing their conflicting priorities to ensure the audit timetable is met – essential.
- Qualified Accountant with more than 2 years post qualification experience – essential.
- Experience in external audit – desirable.
- Experience in property business and/or Housing Association – desirable.
