Role Overview:
As an Assistant Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to drive the success of the store. Your primary focus will be on developing sales activities and maintaining a high standard of service. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will take on the responsibility of overseeing the overall operation, cleanliness, and appearance of the store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to achieving financial targets and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
- Respond effectively to diverse customer needs, ensuring a high standard of service.
- Maintain store cleanliness and adhere to Health & Safety procedures.
- Manage and optimize the efficiency of store staff working practices.
- Identify unit mix issues and communicate necessary changes promptly.
- Report and follow up on store repair and maintenance issues.
Main Duties:
- Take charge of the store in the absence of the Store Manager, reporting financial figures to the Regional Manager.
- Effectively handle sales inquiries and provide advice on available services.
- Maximise sales opportunities to meet yearly budget targets.
- Complete administrative tasks to ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Inform the Regional Manager of any operational issues requiring attention.
- Set up and control store marketing tasks.
- Keep store 'bad debt' to a minimum, implementing recovery procedures in line with company compliance.

- Accountable to: Store Manager
- Accountable for: CSA’s (Customer Service Assistants)
