Assistant Principal

• Salary Range: £48,484 - £52,116• Location: Handsworth, Birmingham (B21)• Job Type: Permanent

Reed is delighted to offer an exceptional opportunity for an Assistant Principal at a local, inclusive, and supportive primary school in Handsworth, Birmingham. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with a passion for educational leadership and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment. The successful candidate will be joining the school on a permanent basis in September 2024.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Collaborate with the Principal and leadership team to set strategic directions and policies for the school.• Lead initiatives to drive school improvement and student achievement.• Mentor and support teachers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.• Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to build strong partnerships that support student learning.• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning outcomes.• Ensure the school's ethos and values are embedded in daily practice.• Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience in an educational setting, either as an Assistant Principal or a middle leader ready to step up.• A clear vision for educational excellence and the ability to implement strategic change.• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and inspire staff, students, and the community.• A commitment to inclusive education and the welfare of all students.• A track record of improving teaching and learning outcomes.• Relevant professional qualifications in education.•Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to get a new one.
