ABOUT THE ROLE
The Accounting and Financial Management Department at Northumbria University is seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate to join as Assistant Professor in Finance and Accounting. We aim to ensure that our students are offered an outstanding student experience, and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to ensuring that they are able to contribute to this aspiration in a very practical, flexible, and dynamic way.
The successful candidate will contribute to delivering the Faculty's strategic priorities, which include the integration of excellent teaching, high quality research, and the provision of leadership on a range of diverse portfolios within an academic context. In addition, the role holder will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of curriculum content within undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of the department.
We are interested in hearing from candidates from all areas of finance, particularly from those who have experience in teaching investments, financial management, banking, fintech including blockchain and cryptocurrency, financial accounting and related subjects at all levels of study and with an active research agenda and track record of publications, as well as possess evidence of previous research funding success.
