Assistant Project Manager

  • You will develop effective relationships with design and wider consultant teams in a collaborative manner to ensure effective completion of responsibilities.
  • You will actively network and seek understanding of best practice, utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace Group, the Centres of Excellence, Mace Way Control Centre and Knowledge Hub.
  • You will manage parts of projects independently, with oversight from other Project Managers.
You'll be responsible for:
  • Working with the project team to assist in the delivery of the project objectives in line with the Project Plan.
  • Actively engages in relevant business and statutory Health, Safety and Wellbeing standards and activities at all stages of the project.
  • Collaborating with relevant parties/stakeholders and ensures robust quality systems are suitably managed and monitored in line with Service Excellence.
  • Attending and recording relevant meetings, providing relevant parties with contextual information and analysis, including regular site walks.
  • Partnering with relevant stakeholders and is actively involved in risk management and mitigation treatments.
  • Assisting in tracking project changes and ensuring they are processed and formalised within the agreed timeframes.
  • Assisting in providing handover documentation prior to practical completion.
  • Understanding the businesses priorities through Construction to Production, Digital & Data and responsible business.
  • Collecting information or undertake research as required.
  • Updating and managing existing project plans, processes and procedures to contribute to the successful delivery of projects under direction.
  • Actively seeks understanding and utilises the Centre of Excellence (CoE) knowledge base, The Mace Way Control Centre, the Knowledge Hub and Company best practice sign posting.
  • Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll have:
  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Experience in project management, ideally in a property or infrastructure sector.
  • A developing knowledge of commercial and financial considerations.
  • Experience of developing and forming relationships with other stakeholders within projects.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
