Assistant Project Manager – Construction

Salary: €30,000 basic per annum

Location: Malta

Must be fluent in English

I am looking for a talented and experienced Assistant Project Manager / Construction Project Coordinator to join this top operator in the Hospitality Industry.
They are currently undergoing an exciting phase of growth and development with a project in Malta.

This role will provide essential support to the construction project management team and ensure the seamless execution of construction projects.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate multiple tasks and stakeholders.

The missions and responsibilities:

• Assist in developing project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones and budgets.
• Coordinate and schedule construction schedules,
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors
• Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and feasibility studies.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including permits, contracts, change orders, and RFIs.
• Monitor resource utilization, Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to maintain stocks and relationships
• Support the implementation of quality control procedures and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.

The Right Candidate:

• Qualification in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a project coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in construction project management software and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of construction safety protocols and best practices.
• Ability to analyze problems and propose practical solutions.
• PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Fluent English – oral and written
