Due to ongoing growth of the business, we are currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team based in our Leeds office.
Alongside an ambitious and dynamic team, there will be the opportunity to develop your skills in client facing activities providing a wide range of Quantity Surveying services. You will have the opportunity to participate, support and lead in a variety of projects within the residential, education, retail, commercial, industrial,and infrastructure sectors.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at Ridge, you will join our Cost Management team on projects at both pre and post contract stage. The key role and responsibilities include:
- Advise on costs involved in building projects
- Evaluation of costs and advise on alternative proposals
- Advise on contract arrangements and conditions under which buildings will be constructed
- Evaluation of tenders and reporting thereon
- Attending and being involved in contractor meetings
- Provide advice on implications of different construction methods, materials etc
- Prepare bills of quantities
- Preparation of monthly cost reports and final accounts
- Relevant degree in a surveying, or similar, RICS accredited course
- Experience gained within a consultancy environment
- A desire to becoming an MRICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor (to be supported by the business)
