Could you be our next Assistant Quantity Surveyor working across the Midlands area?
As a key member of the VIVO Team, this role’s primary purpose will be to provide commercial support and surveying services to the Billable Works team, specifically on the low value, high volume Trust with Consequences works.
This role will support the Commercial Manager on the Billable works streams, ensuring that projects are evaluated, priced, and delivered appropriately and in line with the contracts and customer agreements. They will compile monthly reports by projects, support change and variation processes.
They will be responsible for obtaining competitive subcontract prices, and raising Statements of needs, Return on Capitals, and Firm Prices on Maximo in line with our contract and governance processes.
This role will also support on-going VIVO bid and pricing activity as required.
Your key accountabilities will include;
- Pro-active management of variation/change control to capture revenue.
- Supporting the finance team in the management of cash.
- To provide day to day commercial support to the VIVO billable works team.
- Review works to ensure measures are robust and challenged
- Support finance team to ensure Maximo/SAP process is transparent and effective

What you’ll need to do this role
First and foremost, this role will require you to travel to remote locations so you must either hold a full and valid UK driving licence or can travel to remote locations without the use of public transport.
You will hold a relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
It is desirable that you have experience of operating within an MOD environment and have familiarity with geography and establishments within area of responsibility.
You must be able to pass BPSS Clearance to be considered for this role.
