About Our Client
The company is a well-established social housing contractor within the property industry and work across a wide range of contracts across the UK. This region covers south Birmingham and they work across a number of contracts working alongside social housing providers, local authorities and housing associations.
Job Description
Your role will involve working closely alongside the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Predominantly cost management
- Subcontractor management
- Raising orders
- Checking and validating payments
- Inputting payments
- Liaising with the operations team and revenue team to validate variation claims
This is a slightly different AQS role but working within an established team with huge scope for progression.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor should have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or experience in the role already
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of construction processes and materials.
- Good understanding of building regulations and legal guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
