Position: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Midlands
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
- Collaborating with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather project specifications and requirements.
- Analysing and evaluating sub-contractor bids and proposals.
- Preparing and maintaining project cost reports.
- Identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and proposing value engineering solutions.
- Monitoring project progress and costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Conducting regular site visits to assess progress and resolve any quantity-related issues.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate project documentation and compliance with regulations.
- Scaffolding experience desirable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on both large and small building contractors and sub-contractors.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
- Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
