Job Title: Assistant Technical Services Manager
Location: Leeds
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, including company benefits
Company Overview:
Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking company specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) solutions. We are currently looking for a dedicated and motivated Assistant Technical Services Manager to join our team. As an Assistant TSM, you will contribute to the oversight and management of various stages of MEP projects, ensuring their successful completion to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre Construction:
- Assist in the technical review of clients' documentation and specifications.
- Participate in client site visits and interviews, representing the company with professionalism.
- Support the financial analysis of sub-contractor quotations and contribute to M&E tender submissions.
- Assist in placing sub-contract orders and contribute to the procurement process.
- Contribute to the production of procurement schedules and installation programs.
- Collaborate in managing the M&E design process and contracts with sub-contractors.
- Assist in producing detailed installation RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements).
Construction:
- Support the coordination of weekly M&E meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Assist in the management of M&E procurement, overseeing the supply chain for efficiency and quality.
- Provide support in analyzing sub-contractor financial variations.
- Assist in overseeing the installation of new power, gas, water, and telecoms services to the site.
- Collaborate in managing clients' online document control systems, including Conject and 4P.
- Attend client progress meetings, contributing as needed.
- Assist in monitoring M&E progress on-site and support M&E snagging activities.
- Contribute to the review of subcontractor RAMS for compliance and safety.
Commissioning:
- Provide support in leading and managing the commissioning process, ensuring system functionality and performance.
- Collaborate in producing detailed commissioning programs and support M&E client training sessions.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a relevant role within the MEP industry.
- Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems.
- Basic project management skills, including an understanding of financial analysis and procurement.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with online document control systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to participate in and support effective M&E meetings.
- Commitment to health and safety standards and protocols.
- Exposure to commissioning processes is desirable.
