Job description

To provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective administrative support to the Transport and Travel Team. To act as a first point of contact for all queries in respect of patient parking concessions. It is expected that the Transport Administrative Assistant will have sufficient ability to follow a clearly documented process of issuing parking concessions and learn to be able to respond to other transport related queries. A flexible approach is required to fulfil the duties in an environment with many conflicting priorities. To support the Transport Administrators and wider team to deliver projects within deadline, correctly record information provide information pertinent to the role reports as required. To be familiar with Transport and Travel Team business activities, process and systems. Providing patient parking concessions will be the primary focus of this role and ensuring wards and departments. To process requests for parking concessions in a timely manner to ensure concession request information is correct, accurate, recorded and provided with concession provided swiftly. Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate.The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
