Job Description
The Responsibilities for the Assistant Transport Manager will be;
- Managing and coordinating transportation plans within the logistics department.
- Ensuring compliance with transport laws and regulations.
- Monitoring transport costs, performance and efficiency.
- Implementing health and safety measures.
- Assisting in staff training and development.
- Overseeing vehicle maintenance and management.
- Supervising logistics staff and drivers.
- Participating in logistics department meetings and projects.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Transport Manager should have:
- Relevant educational qualifications in transport management or a related field.
- Proven experience in a transport management role within the transport and distribution industry.
