SalaryTime Appointments are currently working on behalf of a leading manufacturer and distributors who are seeking to recruit an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager. This is a great opportunity to work within a forward-thinking business who value their employees.
Reporting to the Operation Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the management of all aspects of the warehouse, including leadership, operational functions, and health & safety.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Managing stock including space allocation, perpetual stock take, stock transfers and non-conforming products
- Overseeing the day to day running of all areas of the Warehouse including goods In, returns, containers, drivers, and dispatch
- Ensure that the warehouse is maintained to the highest standard, and regularly checking for damages, cleanliness and Health and Safety issues
- Motivating and monitoring the Warehouse teams to ensure procedures and team quality targets are being adhered to
- When required, monitor, measure, and report on Warehouse operations and to make improvements / recommendations to the wider business
To be considered for this role applicants are required to have previous warehouse supervisory/assistant management experience along with a valid Forklift License. An aptitude for people management and the ability to motivate and drive performance is imperative, along with strong communication and leadership skills.
