Job description

The Regional Security Officer (RSO) is responsible for overseeing the security operations within the European countries (GB, France, Iberia) and for assisting the VP Corporate Security & Integrity (CSI) as well as the security team in constructing and managing our vision, strategy and roadmap. This includes managing of KPI's, metrics and reporting programs, and the creation of content to socialize our programs across the company.

The role is also responsible for providing significant improvement of processes for the running of security operations, including budgeting, recruiting, supporting and developing staff, providing regular monthly and quarterly communications to various audiences as well as helping manage security projects.

This role will enhance Corporate Security’s & Integrity reputation as a business partner to all BUs and employees in the region. The RSO will oversee coordinate and support regional investigations and support senior management in the IMCR process. Take a leading role within the function of staff management and operational activity.

The RSO will also act as a Senior Security Officer for GB and lead the Security Manager and provide guidance to all relevant stakeholders.

The RSO will also provide clear and transparent leadership and decision making both within and outside of the security corporate function.

What to expect:

•    Develop and implement Regional Security strategies in line with global CSI strategy and policies.
•    Manage and oversee security operations in Great Britain, France, and Iberia, ensuring strategic and effective management of Regional Security measures. 
•    Supervise and guide BU senior security managers across several countries, maintaining team management systems, coordinating meetings, and crafting presentations to support information dissemination and team cohesion.
•    Ensure adherence to international regulations, legislation, and business policies, while also conducting regular audits of security policies, guidelines, and procedural compliance within the region.
•    Support regional and country management by providing expert advice on security-related decisions and representing the region on the Corporate Security & Integrity Leadership Team.
•    Conduct comprehensive risk assessments focusing on criminal risks, workplace violence, and social unrest, and develop strategies to prevent these security incidents.
•    Identify and establish standards for protecting tangible and intangible assets, including developing robust food defence measures with stakeholders.
•    Lead the implementation of Corporate Security & Integrity policies, guidelines, and directives, managing complex security projects, investigations, and physical security audits.
•    Lead and supervise the organization's response to security-related issues, providing strategic direction during incidents to ensure minimal impact and swift resolution.
•    Maintain effective liaison with relevant regional law enforcement agencies to enhance communication and cooperation in security matters.
•    Manage and protect corporate events and global sports events, ensuring high standards of security and safety at all organizational gatherings and internationally recognized events.

Skills and Essentials:

Experience preferred 
•    significant experience in similar security positions with an emphasis on program design and implementation, or 3 years in similar security positions + 10 years as an officer at a relevant law enforcement organization 
•    Proven experience of people management in a similar business environment and team culture.

Qualifications preferred
•    Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field. 
•    Professional security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, ACFE) are highly desirable.
•    Proven experience in managing security operations and teams across multiple locations.

Functional technical skills required
•    Integrates security policies with business operations effectively.
•    Conducts detailed security investigations and resolves breaches.
•    Regularly assesses and optimizes security plans for effectiveness.
•    Proficient in risk assessments and audits to identify security threats.
•    Manages security projects efficiently from start to finish.
•    Utilizes data analysis and reporting to enhance operations and security.

•    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Strong judgment ability
•    Strong technology awareness and execution skills.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
•    Proficient in crisis management and emergency response planning.

Travel is up to 25-30% of the role.

Fluent English is required - written and spoken.A second language is advantageous.
