The Devices and Services Business Organisation (DSBO) team was formed with the purpose of bringing the best of Google’s software and hardware to our users by bringing to market and distributing a Google-branded hardware portfolio. The team is responsible for managing all partnerships with carriers, retailers, energy providers, and resellers worldwide. This includes the partnerships for products such as Pixel Mobile, Smartwatch and Buds, Google Nest Home portfolio across Assistant, WiFi, Chromecast, Thermostat, Camera, Doorbell and more; and Fitbit Smartwatch and Trackers.
Our Retail team drives Google hardware strategy with top retailers. This includes channel strategy, commercial negotiations, marketing, merchandising, and market share growth. We collaborate extensively with internal teams (marketing, product, engineering, etc.) and external retail partners.
As an Associate Partner Manager, you will lead Google's hardware engagements with key retail partners. This includes deepening relationships, defining partnership strategy, crafting commercial plans, executing agreements, and tracking results. You will be integral to product launches, promotions, business tracking, and forecasting. Additionally, you'll represent DSBO in cross-Google forums and executive-level discussions with these strategic partners. You will collaborate cross-functionally with the marketing, product engineering, finance, and retail operations at Google to drive successful Pixel Mobile, Ecosystem, Google Nest, and Fitbit with this Retail partner.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and evolve external relationships with partners and across the ecosystem, and manage strategic partnerships with entities of all sizes.
- Develop cross-product area strategic partner initiatives and build go-to-market strategies to meet broader Google goals across rapidly changing industries.
- Ideate and drive complex deals with potential partners and renewals/expansions for existing partners and build consensus with internal and external executives.
- Serve as the relationship manager for our current existing agreements. Help realize and optimize value from these partnerships while building effective long-term relationships.
- Engage with several internal cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to incubate, launch, improve, and scale new features and user experiences across markets and functional areas.
