Job Title: Attendance Administrative Assistant (Temporary)
Hours and working pattern: 37 hours per week, working times/days
Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 4.00pm Friday, 8.00am – 3.30pm
Grade: B3 point 7 - 11
Salary: £24,294 – £25,344 FTE (£20,895 - £22,646 Actual)
Start date: ASAP
We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to join our Attendance team. The role will include responsibility for ensuring that registers are accurate and attendance initiatives are thoroughly supported. He/she will also work collaboratively with the Attendance Lead together, assisted by a substantial team of Year Leaders and Form Tutors, will ensure that families of all students attending Pudsey Grammar School receive high quality support for school attendance.
The successful candidate will be highly efficient and have exceptional organisational skills, the ability to prioritise between competing workloads with a consistently professional approach to all aspects of the role and the drive and focus for continuous improvement.
Applicants will need to demonstrate that they can:
- Undertake administrative tasks as directed by the Attendance Lead.
- Produce and post up-to-date information on attendance notice boards and school website as directed by Attendance Lead.
- Maintain and operate parent communication systems and ensure contact details are up to date.
- Check messages on the attendance line regularly and at least on a daily basis.
- Maintain confidential student records.
- Show commitment to:
- Working in line with statutory safeguarding guidance (e.g. Keeping Children Safe in Education, prevent and our safeguarding and child protection policies)
- Working with the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) to promote the best interests of students, including sharing concerns where necessary
- Promoting the safeguarding of all students in the school
