Audit & Account Senior (Accountancy Firm)
Location: Newport, Gwent
Salary: £30k - £40k + Excellent Benefits
Permanent, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (37.5 hours)
The Client:
Our client is a well-established Accountancy Firm, offering comprehensive support to clients, to clients, catering to both local and international financial requirements.
The Role:
As an Audit & Account Senior, you will be overseeing client accounts, managing task completion, being a primary contact for clients, and staying updated on technical advancements.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain technical proficiency through training and webinars.
* Identifying significant audit risks by conducting comprehensive research, analysing preliminary findings.
* Leading fieldwork teams for larger or higher-risk audit clients.
* Generating draft accounts and meticulously reviewing disclosures against relevant checklist.
* Guiding junior colleagues, addressing client queries, and clearing review points.
* Ensure regular communication with the manager regarding any arising client issues.
Requirements:
* Previously worked as an Audit & Account Senior or in a similar role.
* At least 5 years experience working in UK accountancy practice.
* Possess substantial post-qualification audit experience.
* ACCA partly qualified or fully qualified.
* Familiarity with Pro Audit and CCH Accounts Production.

* Background in group audits.

* Leadership skills overseeing junior colleague.
