Audit and Accounts Senior Accountant
This role requires a driver with own vehicle, flexible working
Due to continued expansion, our client is seeking a part qualified or fully qualified ACCA/ACA or AAT qualified accountant with experience of preparing business, personal and corporation tax returns, CT600. Any experience of working in an accounting practice would be advantageous, but not essential.
You will have experience providing quality audits, accounting and related client services as well as preparing financial statements for clients.
You will strong analytical and critical thinking skills along with good verbal and written communication skills. Able to build a good rapport, trust with clients, and manage confidential information.
Basic Salary £35,000 to £45,000, depending on experience, additional training available to progress your career, salary sacrifice scheme, and enhanced benefits package
Duties
- You will perform senior audit assignments when required
- Prepare statutory financial statements and prepare business tax computations, partnership, and personal tax returns
- Able to prepare corporation tax computations and forms CT600
- Assist with general client enquires with regards to bookkeeping and other business-related matters
- Monitor own quality of performance and time costs in line with agreed budgets
- Assist with administrative tasks if necessary
- Record own chargeable time and enable maximum recoveries
- Work on adhoc projects and assignments
- Identify and raise potential areas for additional services including added value services and advice with clients
- Undertake bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, supplier maintenance and management accounts preparation
- Liaise daily with clients to obtain relevant information for their accounts
- Provide support to trainees through on-the-job coaching and supervision of their work
- Make use of appropriate support networks to clarify knowledge and resolve queries on complex technical or software related matters
