This is a full time, permanent position, with flexible and hybrid working options available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead diverse and complex audit assignments across multiple sectors, liaising with managers and partners as needed
- Prepare audit files, plan audits, and lead/assist with fieldwork
- Allocate work and supervise junior team members, providing support, training, and reviewing their work
- Ensure audits are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget
- Review work completed by junior staff
- Use accounting software to provide accurate reports for managers, directors, and clients
- Prepare statutory accounts and finalize them under the supervision of your line manager
- Prepare corporation tax computations
- Maintain current technical knowledge of industry and economic issues
- Assist with service and product pricing, including new client quotes
- Build productive relationships within Shaw Gibbs and with clients
- Develop and apply technical knowledge through on-the-job training
- ACCA/ACA qualified or almost qualified
- Minimum of 3 years’ UK Audit practice experience, some accounts experience is also a must
- Preference for a University degree with at least a 2:1 or minimum 3 A-Levels (A, B, B or above)
- Xero, Sage, Caseware and CCH experience would be an advantage
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong IT skills, specifically Excel
