Our client are looking for an Automation Engineer to join their Quality Engineering & Assurance (QEA) function.
This role will be hybrid, within London (Liverpool street). You will be expected to be on client site 2-3 days a week.
This organisation is a Global Technology Consultancy, working with a wide variety of household names in both the private and public sector. This role will initially be aligned with one of the organisations Public Sector clients.
This role will offer fast progression, clear and tailored training plans, funding for courses and certifications, and exposure to a wide variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will write test strategies, develop and execute test plans, test cases and test scripts.
- You will use Java, Selenium and WebDriver API Commands. (Java/Junit/TestNG) to verify software functionality, performance, and security.
- You will develop, enhance and fix, internal frameworks, test cases and tools required for automation.
- You will debug and fix code issues, alongside a developer.
- You will configure Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing (CI/CT) Pipelines.
- You will have a deep understanding and working knowledge of the skills required for debugging and root causing issues, in Software applications.
Essential Skills:
- Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test scripts.
- Strong experience in programming skills in Java/.Net/C#.
- Expertise with test automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, Junit, TestNG, RestAssured, SOATest, SoapUI/PostMan etc.
- Experience of version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and SAFe development methodologies.
- Expertise of Cross Browser and Mobile Device Testing.
- Should have Knowledge and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Behaviour Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing.
- Should have Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices.
- Should have good communication and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross functional team.
- Self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond training.
Desired Skills:
- Automation expertise with Appium and EggPlant is plus.
