We are looking for positive, open minded and driven individual who are able to lead a team of committed and motivated colleagues to fulfill daily distribution and Logistics operations for the UK/IE online and over 250 stores.
As an Automation Team Leader you will lead the day-to-day operations for a specific team, ensure service levels, compliance and drive continuous improvements in line with set targets for service, efficiency and cost.
Automation Team Leader responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and organize a department team, and monitor productivity
- Support Department Manager in maximizing operational excellence, quality, and efficiency by proactive analysis of logistics processes and management of workflows
- Secure efficiency and smooth operations in a cost-efficient way and according to operational & sustainability standards
- Understand the features of the systems used in the warehouse, being able to run the operation on a daily basis
- Responsible for smooth running of automation in the building and efficient resolution of any arising automation issues
- Identify and resolve risks and issues in the department team
What is expected of an Automation Team Leader:
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Experience working in warehouse environment and understanding of warehouse processes
- Hands-on approach for pragmatic day-to-day workflow management and problem resolution
- Strong coordination skills and analytical thinking
- Holistic view to look at the bigger perspective with a visionary approach
- Sound understanding of automated DC concepts and operations
- Agile mind set with positive attitude to change & meaningful growth
- Inclusive & empathetic towards others whilst encouraging diversity
- Experience in completing return to work and disciplinary investigations
- Experience in managing and identifying H&S risks
