Your Impact
As a Technical Program Manager you will be part of an Engineering team responsible for executing strategic projects to advance GSAM Digital Client Experience priorities and deliver impactful revenue, risk and control and efficiency opportunities using effective program delivery methods, functional and technical expertise, and stakeholder management skills. You are passionate about driving change that generates insights, unlocks value, and achieves positive outcomes for both internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software development processes, and a proven track record of successfully delivering large scale initiatives.
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential on the team
- Overseeing the planning, execution and delivery of technical projects.
- Lead complex and high-priority initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams consisting of business leads, product managers, software developers and designers towards successful implementation.
- Establish proper program and project governance by organize initiatives into discrete phases, workstreams and projects.
- Coordinate alignment of product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide the development process and ensure clear communication between stakeholders in an agile environment.
- Manage priorities, resourcing levels, time constraints and initiative scope with sponsors and stakeholders across the duration of all project phases.
- Provide oversight of multiple projects to ensure scope, project plan definition, timelines and stakeholder expectations are aligned for success.
- Support and advise other technical program managers on project management processes, tools and methodology.
- Increase efficiency by collaborating with stakeholders from Operations, Engineering, and Business to review and streamline processes to address risk and control issues.
Basic Qualifications:
- Proven experience 7+ years of program and project management experience.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree relevant fields is helpful.
- Experience with all stages of the project lifecycle: inception, analysis, design, review, testing, and software development leveraging agile methodologies and tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and strong project management technical skills.
- Proficiency in collaborating with software engineers, understanding software architecture, and translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience working directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across levels.
- Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, managing complex projects, and delivering software solutions on schedule and within budget.
- Strong organization skills - ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize accordingly and make decisions as required.
- Demonstrate excellent people management skills and ability to influence key stakeholders outside their direct control.
- Be a strategic thinker, able to lead project working groups, possessing strong facilitation and data gathering skills, and able to provide creative & innovative solutions.
- Be proficient in Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Project Management and/or Agile Certification would be an advantage.
