We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter/Plumber to work within our small team at Watford General hospital.
Must be able to work unsupervised. May also be required to work at Saint Albans City hospital and Hemel Hempstead Hospital from time to time.
You will be required to work 37.5 hours a week and partake on an out of hours emergency call out rota.
Carry out planned maintenance and fault find on mechanical plant. Must be city and guilds trained and to have completed a mechanical/plumbing apprenticeship.
Able to work on Air handling units, pumps, motors heating systems and different types of ventilation systems.
Partake in the on-call emergency cover rota. Complete PPM as per HTM compliance. An understanding of Boiler plant would be beneficial

Working as part of a team in the estates department looking after the Mechanical/Plumbing services. You may be asked from time to time to cover duties on our other sites, such as SACH ,HHH. And clinics.
You will be required to cover out of hour duties as part of the on-call rota reporting to the on-call manager.
At times you may be required to cover supervisory duties.
