You will join a friendly, well-established, integrated learning disability team with a focus on delivering high quality service for adults with learning disabilities.
Bolton’s learning disability health service is integrated into the Community Learning Disability Team, combining the learning disability health services with social care. The team is based at Farnworth Town Hall located within the Bolton borough.
You will be an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist, with a passion to help others and to work with adults who have a learning disability and complex physical health needs and/or behaviours.
To manage a complex caseload, using evidence based, client centred principles to provide highly specialised assessments, implementation and evaluation of Occupational Therapy intervention.
There will be opportunity to bring creative thinking into your work and use skills acquired throughout your previous Occupational Therapy training and experience.
There will also be a leadership element to the role as the post holder will be responsible for the supervision and governance of the Occupational Therapy team.
The post holder will have access to clinical supervision, peer and managerial support. There is a commitment to providing ongoing training and professional development, including development of skills and leadership opportunities.
In line with The Allied Health Professionals (AHP) Strategy for England, the post holder will support the implementation of policies designed to achieve quality in healthcare including championing diverse and inclusive leadership and improving representation from those with protected characteristics.
