Hays are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 7 PhysioTherapist orOccupational Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, contribute to service development, and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Your new role and responsibilities
- Working with the urgent response team and paramedics working on admission avoidance. Base
- To carry out timely assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of community clients to prevent hospital admission or re-admission and facilitate early discharge home from hospital.
- To be professionally and legally responsible for own practice and accountable for all aspects of physiotherapy treatment delivered to the client to ensure a high standard of clinical care.
- Use clinical reasoning skills to analyse and interpret referral information, and prioritise these according to urgency of need, risk and service parameters.
- To be able to identify significant health changes that would warrant medical intervention and liaise with the relevant practitioner.
- To evaluate client intervention and progress in a timely manner using appropriate outcome measures and evaluation tools. To adapt care plans accordingly and delegate tasks appropriately to RSWs.
- To use professional knowledge and judgement to take into account the range of care/support packages and treatment options available.
- To consider each service user's personal circumstances and preferences in order to implement and adjust programmes of care and intervention.
What you'll need to succeed
- HCPC registered as a PhysioTherapist orOccupational Therapist
- Relevant Specialist Post Graduate qualification and/or professionally recognised clinical course(s) in MSK Physiotherapy and professional development.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Evidence of continuing professional development and clinical supervision
- Ability to manage time and caseload effectively.
- Supporting service users, families and carers in dealing with the impact of disability and life limiting conditions
- Can be whichever is closest to home as a few across the area covered.
