Occupational Therapist (Grade 8)
Description
We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist (Grade 8) to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with patients to evaluate and address their physical, mental, and emotional challenges that affect their daily living skills. Your goal will be to provide individualized therapy programs to help patients regain independence and improve their overall quality of life.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans based on each patient's unique needs. You will assess and analyze patients' abilities, administer therapy interventions, and monitor progress to ensure effective outcomes. Additionally, you will provide education and support to patients and their families to help them better understand and cope with their condition.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine patients' functional limitations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Implement therapy interventions to address clients' physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional challenges.
Adapt activities and environments to promote patients' maximum independence and functional performance.
Provide education and training to patients and their families on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment, and home exercises.
Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care and integrate therapy goals into patients' overall treatment plan.
Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in occupational therapy, and apply evidence-based practices in patient care.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical conditions that affect functional abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Ability to assess patients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Proficiency in utilizing therapy equipment and adaptive devices.
Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple caseloads.
Hours Per Hour:
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £22.74
Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
