We work together internally and externally to ensure the best outcomes for the people we support.The RoleJob Title: Bank Support WorkerHours: Casual, as and when requiredWe are looking for Bank Support Workers to join our Safe Haven and Crisis House service.The Safe Haven is a new service based in Chesterfield which offers out of hours support for people with mental health needs. The service provides a community wellbeing resource where people can access support, preventing escalations and equipping people with the necessary skills and resources to promote mental wellbeing. The Safe Haven provides face to face, non-clinical support between the hours of 4:30pm and 12:30am.The Crisis Bed service offers short term residential places on a 24-hour basis as an alternative to hospital admission. Within this role staff are required to support guests who have been referred into the service by Crisis Teams, this can include providing them with 1-1 support sessions, completing safety management plans, prompting with routine and generally ensuring guests are receiving person centred care. Training will be given to ensure staff are equipped with the skills to support people in managing their mental wellbeing with a focus on non-clinical interventions.This role will require a high level of empathy and listening skills combined with a supportive, positive and practical attitude towards the resolution of mental health issues. The successful candidate will also require good organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and partners across different disciplines and delivery organisations.
