We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cocktail Lounge and Afternoon Tea Manager to oversee the operations of our upscale Hedgerow & Orchard Room. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong background in mixology and tea service.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the cocktail lounge and afternoon tea service, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Create and maintain a welcoming and elegant atmosphere for guests, ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail.
- Develop and implement innovative cocktail and tea menus, staying current with industry trends and customer preferences.
- Train and mentor staff members in cocktail preparation techniques, tea service protocols, and customer service standards.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure seamless service.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create complementary food offerings for both the cocktail lounge and afternoon tea service.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of service areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization at all times.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to exceed expectations.
- Uphold all health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Work closely with the management team to develop marketing strategies and promotions to drive business and increase revenue.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-end cocktail lounge or tea room.
- Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and tea varieties, with a demonstrated ability to create unique and appealing beverage menus.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on building relationships with both guests and staff.
- Proven track record of effectively managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the needs of the business.
- Certification in mixology or tea service is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
