Golf Club Bar Manager

Bar Manager - full time permanent position

Our client are looking for a full time Bar Manager to run the day to day operations, create an inviting, relaxing space for regular and new customers alike and lead the team in all aspects of bar proficiency and customer service. This is an exciting role for a proactive and passionate individual, with plenty of opportunity to develop new ideas / events that will drive footfall. You will work hand in hand with out outsourced catering team to drive the business.

Roles and responsibilities

• Day-to-day running of the Bar and open/close procedures
• Manage and motivate a dedicated team including training and shift-planning / rota
• Working with our catering team, own and drive the planning, marketing and execution of events.
• Work with the Club Captain, house convener and management team to assess and implement new offerings.
• Oversee cellar maintenance and beer quality standards.
• Manage stock.
• Manage consumables
• Manage all customer bookings.
• Manage the bar till, cash and payments accurately accounting for, reconciling and banking takings
• Manage staff time sheets, rotas and tips
• Manage marketing of the Bar and events through social media
• Monitoring trends and acting on these where appropriate

• Demonstrable passion for outstanding customer service
• Strong cellar management skills, confident dealing with cask beer, different types of kegs, increasing and reducing gas pressures, line cleaning.
• Strong communication skills, line of contact between bar team, catering team, club management and suppliers
• Proactive attitude to drive the Bar forward and explore new opportunities.
• People person with a strong community focus
• License Holder (desirable).
• Competent in the use of social media.
• Permission to work in the UK.

• Salary of £25-32k per annum DoE, Plus Tips

This a full-time position, approx. 40 hours/week to include weekends and bank holidays.
