Form of workWe are looking for an experienced Bar Manager for our rooftop restaurant & bar, Seabird at The Hoxton, Southwark.
Our third hotel in London, Hox Southwark consists of Albie, a bustling & relaxed ground floor bar and restaurant as well as Seabird, which offers a "fine-dining in sneakers" experience – think fine wines and unique & elevated cocktail specials to be enjoyed along the stunning views of the city.

What you'll do...
- Run a fun and fast paced bar operation day and night, reporting directly to the Restaurant General Manager
- Be creative, share ideas, develop and implement our bar strategy – play a part in innovating our bar concept and staying on (and ahead) of trends
- Create seasonal menus, in line with Seabird’s ethos and The Hoxton brand
- Develop a beverage programme for the bar, enabling a “destination bar” profile
- Lead your team by example, driving service standards that strive for the best for the guest; encouraging your team to grow and develop, the Hox way
- Train bar staff to take part in cocktail competitions
- Know your product and systems inside out
- Make sure all items are set up on POS as well as FnBShop with the right prices and recipes
- Own your P&L – be fully responsible for the beverage COS%
- Monthly stocktake with full stock management accountability
What we're looking for...
- 2-3 years’ experience in a bar operations role with a background in cocktail menu development, ideally in a luxury or lifestyle bar environment
- Experience with stock management
- FnBShop literate
- Experience in dealing with brands and account managers
- Experience with brand activations
- A natural leader – you know how to create a place where people can be themselves, do great work, are empowered to think outside the box and comfortable coming to you with questions
