As a Technical Analyst within the Information Systems team, you will work as part of a small team overseeing all the production technology. The role is responsible for the delivery of day-to-day technology maintenance and changes to ensure that all systems remain operating with respect to performance, security, and functionality. The post holders have a deep technical understanding of the company's infrastructure and systems and will be the primary resource for the resolution of major incidents and problems.
As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks.
Skill Set & Experience Required:
- Take the lead in the management of major incidents, ensuring effective communication, analysis, troubleshooting, and diagnosis are in place, working towards speedy resolution or the application of a workaround.
- Maintain the organisation security position by the application of agreed processes and the constant monitoring, control, and configuration of security products to enable a balance of business need and security is maintained.
- Monitor the integrity of existing systems and services.
- Work alongside the Technical Implementation Manager and IS Support Manager to undertake small projects relating to existing systems and services.
- Apply problem management techniques including root-cause-analysis towards the resolution of problems.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the best practices within the IS support team and contribute to the development of the IT knowledgebase by documenting fixes and workarounds to a consistently high-quality and meeting defined standards.
- Mentor any staff seconded from the service desk to enhance their skills and look to provide learning opportunities.
- Assist in IT and business projects as and when required.
- Use internal and external resources to stay up to date with the latest technologies and offer suggestions for continual improvement.

About You
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience (requirement to fulfil role responsibilities)
- Technical competence in a range of Networking, VMWare, and Microsoft products
- Any experience of Legal Services products is an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of ITIL disciplines
- Managing 3rd parties and 3rd party delivered services.
- Excellent customer facing/customer service skills.
