We are working with leader in the property and construction industry, supporting them with appointing a new Bid Writer.
Location: Preston
Type: Hybrid
Salary: £45,000 - £47,000 per annum, plus a £6,105pa car allowance + great corporate benefits including BUPA, Income protection, company doctor, EAP, savings scheme, health & wellbeing, and various others.
Company work across Public and Private sectors covering Construction, Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, Water Engineering and various other services.
This role as Bid Writer will be working within their Civils team (circa 55 staff), reporting to the Pre-Construction Director. It's a role which will involve lots of stakeholder management skills, coordinating with various managers within the business to gain the information required to compile bids, tenders and proposals.
The business is also looking to develop and in house Bid Library which will be also form part of the scope for this role.
We are able to consider anyone from a Bids, Tenders, Proposals or Commercial background from within Construction, Engineering, or Civils.
The business are also open to candidates who have more of an engineering background and wish to step more into a dedicated Bids role within the Civils sector.
The main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Confirm the requirements of individual bids and work to the deadline
* Participate in bid kick off meetings and key reviews, inputting into the proposal structure and deliverables programme
* Author, edit and proof-read bid submission documents for PQQs, tender bids and frameworks bids
* Take ownership of key topics, such as Social Value, Sustainability, Business Continuity and Business Processes
* Adopt and develop technical and construction methodology responses to ensure common win themes are consistent through the bid
* Research the subject, client, sector or competitor and formulate strategies to differentiate and highlight our bids in comparison
* Provide style guides and writer instructions to all members of the bid team
