Salary: 35,000 - 50,000 per annum pro rata (Depending upon experience)
Join a Leader in Construction: Embark on a rewarding 5-month Fixed-Term Contract with our client, a prominent name in the construction industry. As a Bid Writer, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting customer-centric PQQs, tenders, and related documents that stand out and secure success. This role, covering maternity, is based either in our Hertfordshire or London office.
Role Highlights:
Customer-Centric Approach: Support the business in submitting bids that meet customer needs, achieving high-quality scores.
Collaborative Environment: Work closely with bid teams, facilitating workshops and providing professional writing and editing support.
Drive Excellence: Actively share best practices and lessons learned to enhance bid responses across operating units.
Key Duties:
- Craft well-constructed, clear, and engaging bid submissions aligned with customer preferences.
- Enable bid teams to deliver high-quality responses through professional writing and editing support.
- Analyze PQQs and tenders, understanding quality scoring criteria and client requirements.
- Facilitate workshops for win themes, storyboarding, answer planning, and writing.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to refine drafts into highly engaging responses.
- Work with graphic designers to enhance responses with appropriate graphics.
- Contribute to review meetings and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement.
Key Skills Required:
- Minimum GCSE English Language Grade C or equivalent (desirable).
- Degree-level education (desirable).
- Prior bidding experience in FM/MEP (desirable).
- Excellent written English with keen attention to detail.
- Proven abilities in professional writing, delivering high-quality narrative to tight deadlines.
- Analytical skills: conceptual understanding, bid strategy articulation, win theme identification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word (InDesign skills advantageous).
