Your role at BRE
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of research and development in Digital Construction, BIM and Information Management. You will need an in-depth understanding of current information management using BIM standards (ISO 19650) and a strong technical understanding of BIM processes.
Various responsibilities will include:
- Help to develop a suite of products and services related to BIM, Information Management, and Digital Construction at BRE.
- Deliver classroom / remote training, and advisory services, to industry and academia across the UK and occasionally internationally.
- Support the development of training content and demonstrate creativity to produce engaging content.
- Actively attend BIM industry events and conferences to raise the profile of BRE.
- Contribute to BIM, information management and digital knowledge dissemination in line with best practice and current guidance.
- Assist with our tailored / bespoke course offerings.
- Collaborate with the certification and assurance teams.
- Assist with market and competitor analysis.
- Contribute to the BIM Product Roadmap through identifying potentially relevant BIM, Information Management and Digital Construction subjects for course development.
- Support the development of training content and demonstrate creativity to produce engaging content.
Your profile
Essential
- Practical knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and associated processes
- Good graphical presentation and customer-facing engagement skills, with an ability to translate complex information into visual content
- Experience of BIM processes during design, construction, and operation
- An understanding of the use and capabilities of BIM authoring software tools
Desirable
- BIM Consultancy experience
- Competency in delivering BIM Software training
- An understanding of OpenBIM and its related products such as IFC and COBie
- Knowledge of BIM implementation
- Knowledge and understanding of BIM mandates and initiatives
- Experience of working within the Architecture, Construction or Engineering sector
- An awareness of the Building Safety Act and the Golden Thread of Information
