Bioreactor Hardware Engineer

Recently founded biotech start-up is seeking a Bioreactor Hardware Engineer with hands-on experience building fully-functional bioreactors for cells. Responsibilities

• Designing, fabricating, assembling, and validating bioreactors and control systems
• Planning, executing, analysing and presenting experimental data
• Coordinating engineering projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
• 3+ years relevant experience beyond Bachelor's/Master's
• Hands-on experience independently building fully-functional bioreactors for cells using techniques like 3D printing, milling, laser cutting, etc.
• Integrating temperature control, sensors, actuators, PID, programming for standard bioreactor control loops
• Desired skills: cell culture, bioreactor operation/validation, CIP/SIP systems, modelling, prototyping, sourcing/procurement
• PhD and 5+ years’ experience welcomed to lead a small team
